Who is Bar Yochai? THE MIRACLE STORY OF "BAR-YOCHAI": Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai was a great sage who lived in Israel 2,000 years ago. He was secretly teaching an ancient doctrine of universal wisdom, and was pursued relentlessly by the Romans who ruled Israel at that time. As a result, him and his son took refuge in a cave where they remained for 13 years. During that time, he wrote the mystical book of the Zohar, which means Splendor in Hebrew. Throughout all these years, his only food was the CAROB fruit, which he ate from a tree that grew nearby. Rabbi Shimon BAR-YOCHAI's story inspired us a great deal to start our raw, vegan line of delicacies, and we use his name to signify our connection to PURE, RAW universal wisdom, energy and light through the FOOD we offer. We also chose the CAROB fruit as our 'mascot'. The Carob fruit, symbolizes for us immortality, health and abundance. May you taste the miracle of BAR-YOCHAI!
